• Pesticide Applicator Training Manuals - Manuals in the Pesticide Applicator Training Series are used to provide self-help training for applicators studying to take certification exams in Maryland. Private applicators (producers of an agricultural commodity) should contact their county Extension office, listed in the blue pages of the telephone book, for information on obtaining the appropriate manuals.

The following manuals in the Maryland Pesticide Applicator Training Series may be purchased from Maryland Cooperative Extension (MCE) Production & Distribution.

• Core Manual
• Agricultural Manual
• Ornamentals & Turf Manual
• Aquatic Pest Control Manual

You may complete purchase of the manuals in any of the following ways:

1.  Send in payment directly. Make your check or money order payable to the University of Maryland for the correct amount (see above).  Include the name of the publication you need, your name and telephone number, and your shipping address.   Send the order and your payment to:

2.  Call 301-405-1001 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM Monday - Friday.  Identify the name(s) of the publication you need,your name and telephone number, and your shipping address.  You will be told how to send in payment.

3.  Send an email to agnrpublications@umd.edu.  Include the name(s) of the publication you need, your name and telephone number, and your shipping address.  You be contacted with directions on how to send in payment.

Commercial applicators must study the Core Manual plus the entire appropriate category manual. Private applicators will need to study the Core Manual plus chapters from the appropriate category manual as stated in the instructions section of the manuals.
